National Security
Does anybody beside me find it kind of irritating that the government that's so intent on peering up everybody's tuchus at the airport can't be bothered to encrypt its own communications over diplomatic channels?

Cannot Install Software
Arduino-o-o-o-!
I bought this from the Maker Shed. It would have been nice if, up front, somebody had told me that it won't work with Windows XP short of reanimating an extinct Slobovian goat, learning the Unix kernel by heart, and composing a Petrarchian sonnet to the goat without using the if/elif/if/else structure. I found and installed the driver. Now there's a sync problem, whatever that is. Still won't accept a program via the USB connection.
Good job, cyber-hipsters. Glad you can do all those fancy things with your LEDs. Got to admit, I'm a little bit frustrated & bitter over here.

Poem by Pam
Pam is a poet who sells her work at the Civic Center Plaza, a buck for a poem. Here's the one I bought last Thursday, on the requested themes of chartreuse pigtail rubberbands and the intransigence of modern bureaucracy. Thanks, Pam!

Napkin
Artwork by Harris Cooksey. I've always been a sucker for that self-referential stuff.
Thanks for working at HAP, Harris. Can't begin to imagine what you'll be up to in, say, five years.
