'Fishing' with Dave Etayo at Lafayette Reservoir. Dave was casting a truly hideous frog hopper lure. We didn't see fish one all day long. It was superb.

Roonie's dad wrote:

Now he'll be one with the earth. If we're going to be one with anything, earth is a pretty good choice, especially in a redwood grove. His body will turn into redwood. They live for hundreds of years. Then they, too, become one with the earth, and turn into new trees, and so on. And so he'll never be completely dead. No one will. We just become part of new and different life. Life goes on.

Love these trees. Mistletoe creeps me right out. Ik. I'm told that it's nothing to worry about, though.

Sculpture of a Football, originally uploaded by dumbeast.

This was on the sidewalk on Oak St when I walked home last night. Lovely little hand-made football on a sanded wood base. Some canvas, some paint, some sewing & stuffing...just a delightful little object. I photographed it and left it there.
