Mary’s Birthday Dinner at Chez Panisse

Menu.  Oy, that bisque! The evening was delightful, but exhausting.  On the way home, Mary criticized every stitch of clothing that I had on, my vocabulary and pronunciation, my social skills, and my cellular structure. “Mitochondrial DNA gets passed down matrilineally, right?  I thought so.  Mmm-hmmm. Explains a lot.”
