New ManSack--what it holds
The thing on the left is my old crap-pod, which, in this photo, stands in for my camera, which is actually one of the things that the sack carries. Bur the camera couldn't be in this picture. Because I had to use the camera to take the picture, see?
Also pictured: male-male audio cord, spare camera battery, memory-doingle, mini-tripod, and pre-cambrian phone.
New ManSack -- Crocheted from Good Sturdy British Twine
Kind of a working model-- I'd like to make a more finished one, a little tighter, and of a more durable fiber. Anybody know where I can get some nice pliable black nylon cord, maybe 2.5mm in diameter?

Meanwhile, Back in O-Town...
Stupid wheel thief.
When I saw that the front wheel was gone, I assumed that I'd neglected to properly lock it before we left. I wasted a good hour and a half on mistaken self-loathing before I found the clipped cable.
Poignant Photo Between Two Walls
Tower of London. Photo by Mary Foran
According to my experts, the French language has no way to express "poignant".
Very Old Wall in front of Another Wall
The further-away wall is not as old as the crumbly one. One (or more) of Henry VIII's wives lived in the half-timbered buildings in the background.
John the Beefeater
Our tour guide at the Tower of London. An enthusiastic scholar of Medieval Defensive Architecture. And a very funny and informative educator. I love this man.

Dejected Poney in an Italian Clown Hat
Sketch of a sketch that I made for Djeneba. On a placemat at a French restaurant in Toucy. The restaurant is called "Amuse Bouche", can you believe it? I've used the French spelling for Poney.
