H1N1 sticker
I fought for a solid week to convince the hospital where I do SSI outreach in the methadone clinic to vaccinate me against H1N1. I had to become a very squeaky wheel.
This is the sticker that they gave me to put on my employee badge, to show that I've been vaccinated. Lacking a badge, I stuck it on my watch.
Until I got my shot, I was not myself. Some people get a reaction to the vaccination. I had a reaction to being denied vaccination. I'm glad that I stood up for my and Meghan's rights. And I, along with everybody else, am glad that that's over. Thanks to Katie for taking my purse to Mary when I left it at the office. Thanks to Marga for referring to the hosebag as a purse.
Mobius Hyperbolic Crochet Version 1-04
My first attempt at contribution to the crochet coral reef project. This photo is from a couple weeks ago. The thing has gotten much bigger(and flouncier!) since then. More current photos to follow soon.
Jig for Hanging Quantum Foam
Jig for drilling the holes in the frame. I made the jig out of vinyl erasers from the dollar store, held together with krazy glue.

And here's how the jig works. It'll allow me to locate & drill the holes for the screws quickly and accurately.

House Made Out of Toothpicks and Mini-Marshmallows
In the hand of a very happy 5-year-old on Mission St. Nov 20, 2009.
I only got a quick glimpse of the object, but the structure was immediately apparent. As was the kid's emotional state.
...And I'm thinking: "But there's no triangles on the bottom half!"
But I'm not sure whether this really happened, or maybe I just dreamed it.
...Later, that same weekend....
This one, I'm pretty sure it's real.
